Additional Information
"Thomas seems to have served overseas, as the local newspapers reported that he had been twice wounded and gassed on the Western Front, before being attached to the 4th Reserve Brigade, Royal Field Artillery. He was home on leave when he died of pneumonia on 28 November 1918, aged 37, and was buried with full military honours in Aberystwyth Municipal Cemetery. His original grave marker is in the collection of the Aberystwyth Museum." - Steven John, West Wales War Memorial Project
